Redmond giant doesn’t stand still and is fully committed to artificial intelligence. In March, it unveiled the first two computers in its Surface family that can work natively with AI. So far, they’ve only targeted corporate clients.

The company showed them in a presentation aptly titled “New Era of Work”. Intel’s brand new processors will help usher in a new era. They’re already built to work with artificial intelligence. So everything should run even better and smoother than before.

Microsoft has taken the first step towards business users with these two models. AI machines for private users should then arrive in May.

The corporate Surface Pro 10 and Laptop 6 won’t surprise with their design and construction. Simply put, they are virtually the same as their predecessors. Here, Microsoft is clearly sticking to the tried (and true) motto “don’t change what works”. The essentials are inside.

Surface Pro devices stand out for their portability and versatility. It can serve as a tablet, screen or small computer. It’s ideal for employees who go into the field or travel a lot for work, but need a powerful and reliable device.

Surface Pro 10 packs an Intel Core Ultra chip with an AI-powered neural processing acceleration unit. According to the manufacturer, with this chip, performance should be up to 53% higher than the previous model and tailored to AI processes.

The RAM is up to 64 GB, and storage up to 1 TB. The display has also been upgraded, offering better contrast and up to 33% more brightness, plus it has been given an antireflective coating. The improved camera has been enhanced with smart features, and there’s an NFC reader for corporate contactless cards for more secure login.

Of course, there’s the Windows 11 Pro operating system, Copilot Assistant for Windows, bulletproof data protection, minimal weight or a battery that lasts up to 19 hours of normal use.

There is one design change, though. The additional keyboard you can buy with the tablet already has a Copilot button. Launching the AI assistant couldn’t be easier.

Sustainability: getting better and better

In addition, we are seeing a renewed focus on accessibility and sustainability in new developments.

  • A large percentage of usable materials come from recycling.
  • Service is easier: technicians get more convenient access to the inside of the computer, where they are provided with a description of the components or QR codes that point them to instructional videos.

Repairing instead of replacing is a hot topic at the moment and at XEVOS, we’re embracing this trend by offering full-service repair.

Our Microsoft experts are fully available for ordering, recommending the right equipment for your type of operation or for any other questions. Get in touch, we’ll help you enter a new working era.
